A bit of free advice:  Only buy ink or toner cartridges made by the manufacturer of the printer.  The aftermarket cartridges may save you money at the check-out counter but that is all.  From my experience, the aftermarket (or generic) cartridges do not last as long therefore costing you more in the long run.  The generic cartridge can cause printer problem in leaking ink or toner.

With newer printers the toner has a small circuit board on it that the printer gets the toner level information from and can recognize that it is not an OEM cartridge and may not work at all.  Be sure to run the toner completely out to get all your money out of them, take them out and shake them to make them last longer.  Most new printers will actually stop printing when the toner is out.

And lastly, as big of an investment that a printer is a generic toner could possibly void any warranty on the printer, just like certain alterations to a new car would void its warranty.
